Gingold theater group delivers a new production of George Bernard Shaw‘s New Hampshire set The devil’s disciple. But with one turn: The show plays five female actors.
Directed and adapted by artistic director David stallsThe production officially opens on November 3 to Previews which started on October 15 in Theater two at off-broadway’s theater Row. The limited involvement will last until November 23.
The casting features Nadia Brown (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Susan Cella (The rose tattoo), Tina NIP (Knight of the burning pestle), Teresa had lim (Snow in the city center), and Folami Williams (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child). Fiona Maguire (By the queen) and Lauren Zbylski (Ham) Serve as understudies.
Gingold offers this traditionally male -driven story with a cast of five women, playing all the roles to more fully embrace Shaw’s investigation into the struggle for women’s rights. This adjustment, introduced during the American Revolution and the events from 1777, emphasizes the need for individuals to accept personal responsibility to keep democracy alive and good.
‘Shaw’s plays constantly challenge us to think critically and work with the world around us, and The devil’s disciple is no exception, ‘said Staller in an earlier statement.’ While approaching an important election season, this play serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of individual actions and to stand up for our beliefs. ‘

The production stage manager is April Ann Kline, and David Vandervliet is the assistant stage manager. Production management has been by Aurora Productions. Natalie Kane is the assistant director.
