We are talking about actress Suchitra Sen, who ruled everyone’s hearts with her beauty in the 50s. The actress is no longer in the world. It has been many years since he passed away, but still his memories live in the hearts of people. Suchitra Sen (Roma Das Gupta) comes from an ordinary Bengali family. Her father taught at school, while her mother took care of the house, but Suchitra loved watching films from childhood and wanted to work in them as well. The actress got married at the young age of 15 years. She was married to Dibanath Sen, son of industrialist Adinath Sen, and with his help she entered films. Suchitra started her career with Bengali films and worked in a film called ‘Shesh Kothaye’ in 1952 but the film was not released on screen. After that she was seen in ‘Saat Number Qaidi’ and then the actress never looked back. Suchitra entered the Hindi cinema with the film ‘Devdas’ and the film was a hit. The actress continued to work in both Hindi and Bengali cinema, but she became so busy that her husband left her. As she could not devote much time to shooting, her husband started drinking alcohol and left her and settled abroad. Suchitra’s life changed after her husband left, but earning for her daughter was also important, and she continued to work in films. There came a time when the actress started charging more fees than any big hero. He started rejecting films of big heroes and film directors. It is said about Suchitra that she was very careful in choosing films and therefore she rejected many big films. There was a very popular incident about Suchitra, in which she did not like Raj Kapoor Saheb because she did not like his way of giving bouquets. She did not like Raj Kapoor as a person and thus never made a film with him. Suchitra’s last days were very bad because after the flop of a film ‘Pranoy Pasha’ she was deeply shocked and turned her back on films. It is said that he avoided even showing his face to anyone and kept himself locked in a room for 35 years.
