6 months of production, methamphetamine factory in Cisauk apartment earns IDR 1 billion

Tangerang – The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has revealed that the methamphetamine factory located in an apartment in Cisauk area, Tangerang Regency, has not been operating for a year. They have only been operating for 6 months and have already earned almost IDR 1 billion. “The activities of this network have been in operation for 6 months. (Profits) are almost more than IDR 1 billion,” Head of BNN, Suyudi Ario Seto, told journalists at the location on Saturday (18/10/2025). This factory was uncovered in collaboration with BNN RI and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise after information reported that there was a drug factory in the apartment. An investigation was then carried out by a joint BNN and Customs team. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT On Friday (17/10) at around 15.24 WIB, the joint team raided one of the apartment units on the 20th floor. Based on the results of surveillance and in-depth observations, an apartment unit was used as a location to manufacture methamphetamine. During this raid, the joint team found a number of pieces of evidence, including methamphetamine-type narcotics in liquid and solid form, as well as various chemicals used in the methamphetamine-making process. “Then the laboratory equipment used to manufacture drugs,” he added. 2 Suspects Arrested This joint operation succeeded in securing two suspects, namely IM and DF. IM acts as a chef or crystal methamphetamine maker, and DF acts as a marketer marketing their crystal methamphetamine production. The two suspects were processed at BNN. Both of them were charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 subsidiary Article 113 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1, even more subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of Act Number 35 of 2009 regarding Narcotics. “The threat of imprisonment is a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of death,” he added. Komjen Suyudi added that this operation shows BNN’s strong commitment in the war to eradicate drugs. Suyudi emphasized that his party will not tolerate any form of drug abuse. “BNN is fully committed to fighting drugs at its roots. Bearing in mind that drug crimes are now increasingly complex with hidden production methods in residential areas,” he concluded. (mea/dhn)
