Digital Desk, New Delhi. During the ticket checking campaign in the Jammu division of the Northern Railway, 673 passengers traveling without tickets were caught. A fine of Rs 5 lakh was exacted from the passengers who were caught. An officer gave this information. The investigating officer said that this checking campaign was conducted by a team led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchi Singhal at all the important stations of the Jammu division including Jammu, Pathankot Cantonment, Pathankot City, Katra, Srinagar and Budgam. The official said that a fine of around Rs 5 lakh was collected from 673 passengers for traveling without tickets. Appeal to passengers for cooperation. Singhal said, “Let us all enjoy safe and smooth journey this festive season.”
