7 Bogor primary school students suspected of poisoning with MBG menu, health department laboratory tests

Bogor – As many as seven public primary school students in Gunungputri, Bogor, West Java, were suspected of being poisoned after eating the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) menu. The Health Service initially received information through the community health centre. “The alleged case was reported by the Ciangsana Community Health Center after seven students experienced symptoms of nausea, vomiting, dizziness and stomach pain after eating food from the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program,” Kadinkes Bogor Regency, Dr. Fusia Meidiawaty, Saturday (18/10/2025) said. The incident took place on Thursday (16/10). He said, in that area there are 10 schools that consume MBG from the same place. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT “From the data collected, as many as 3,034 students from 10 schools in the area ate food from the Ciangsana SPPG program, the Rumika Cares Nation Foundation,” he explained. The seven students then received medical treatment at the community health center. After receiving treatment, they are allowed to go home and receive outpatient treatment. “The food menu that the students ate on the day of the incident consisted of white rice, sweet and sour fried chicken, fried tofu, mixed vegetables and orange fruits,” he said. Dr. Fusia said that the incubation period for symptoms appeared about 15 minutes after eating MBG. No students were hospitalized. “After medical treatment, all students who experienced symptoms improved and no victims were hospitalized,” he explained. His party was sent to investigate the food manufacturing site. Monitoring of the condition of students suspected to have been poisoned also continues. “Monitoring new cases during the incubation period. Taking food samples for testing at the Bogor Regency Class A health laboratory,” he explained. Meanwhile, Secretary of the Bogor Regency Health Office, Irman Gapur, said that his party is still waiting for the laboratory results.
