“I’ve never been the girl who’s thought about my wedding,” she said, revealing, “I got my wedding dress off of Anthropologie. Like, I just literally bought it online.”

Munn also told host Kelly Clarkson about the thoughtful gift Mulaney, 42, surprised her with on their big day.

“Our daughter was born via surrogate because I couldn’t carry her and I was really sad,” she recalled. “I was telling John that, ‘Oh man, I wish she was here.’ Because in the photos when she looks back on the day mommy and daddy got married Malcom will be there but she won’t be there.”

She continued, “So he found this vintage locket and he put her sonogram picture inside, so that we had it on the day. And he surprised me with that.”

“That’s so sweet,” said Clarkson, 42. “You got a good one.”

“I know. He’s really thoughtful and sweet,” replied Munn.

She called her comedian husband a huge support and “an incredibly hands-on father,” recalling how he would go “to and from the hospital—taking Malcolm to the park, putting him to nap, driving to Cedars-Sinai, hanging out with me, going home, putting Malcolm to bed, coming back to me and he did it all happily.”

“We’re a really strong little family,” Munn told PEOPLE in her April cover story. “We’re really just there for each other.”
