A new medicine to stop the spread of breast cancer – ryan

The British National Health Authority (NHS) has revealed the adoption of the drug “Capevasterte” for routine use in the treatment of advanced breast cancer, in a move described as a victory for the British flag and a milestone moment in the history of control of the disease, according to a report published by the British newspaper “The Times”.

The medicine is taken orally twice daily, and the first of its kind is globally. It works to inhibit an abnormal protein known as AKT, responsible for stimulating the multiplication of cancer cells.

Clinical studies confirmed its effectiveness in doubling the period in which the patient is experiencing without the growth of the tumor, as the average period of this period reached 7.2 months compared to 3.6 months in patients who teach fake treatment. It also contributed to reducing the size of tumors in a quarter of patients participating in experiments.

“Capevaserte” targets the most common type of advanced breast cancer, known as “positive hormone receptors and a Her2”, and is provided to women who have stopped their response to previous treatments, especially for those who carry genetic mutations in PIK3CA, AKT1 or Pten, which are mutations that appear in about half of cases.
