Women Raped near Telangana Temple, Husband Tied To Tree: Seven people have been arrested in the case of alleged gang rape of a woman in Nagrakurnaul district of Telangana. Police said that this shameful incident took place in Urkondpeta village on Saturday when the victim went to visit the temple with her husband and stayed in the temple premises. In the complaint given to the police, the woman said that when she went for the toilet, the accused forcibly took her to a deserted area near the temple and everyone did dirty work with her in the bushes.

He told that when the woman’s husband reached to save her, the accused tied her to the tree. A police officer said that the police have detained seven people in the case. The arrested accused include an electrician, an auto driver and two cooks, who have been involved in extortion cases before.

Taking seriously the incidents of sexual offenses in Nagrakurnaul district and Hyderabad, State Women and Child Welfare Minister D. Anasuya Sitakka interacted with senior police officers and officials of Women Welfare Department. He inquired about the investigation of the case and the health status of the victims.
