SSP Shailesh Pandey said that on March 30, a woman had filed a complaint against the accused Saurabh Srivastava alias Harish. The woman said that Saurabh befriended her by calling herself an assistant commandant in the army, then started asking for money by pretending to marry. When the woman investigated on suspicion, it was found that she had cheated many women before.

Used to cheat by creating fake identity
Police investigation revealed that Saurabh is a resident of Kurav police station area of ​​Prayagraj and was living in Girraj Nagar Nawada area of ​​Mathura. In fact, he is an insurance agent, but used to go to the camps of police and paramilitary forces as army officers. In uniform, after making photos and reel, take people into confidence and then cheat them.

According to the police records, Saurabh has already gone to jail in the case of cheating. In 2020, a case of cheating was registered against him in Prayagraj. After being released on bail, he made Mathura a new hideout and started cheating again. At present, the police is questioning him.
