Executives’ Club of Chicago Names New CEO, President – ryan

A Longime Member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago and Former NonProfit Leader is “Coming Home” by stepping into the organization’s top roles.

Dorri McWHORTER on Thursday was named President and CEO of the Executives’ Club, Effective June 2. She Success Margaret Mueller, Who Stepped Down in March Six to Join Private Firm Tilia Holdings.

Estabished in 1911, The Invitation-Only Organization Helps Executives in the City Grow their Leadership and Organization Skills Through Connections and Innovation.

“I’ve been a member for 20 years, and i just like like come home,” McWHORTER SAID. “Spanding the time that i have in the nonprofit sector for the last 12 years, really do feel like I’m sort of getting Back to Business. That’s Exciting to me.”

She Most Recently Served as the President and CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. While there, McWHORTER INCREATED THE NONPROFIT’S REVENUE BY 50% AND PROMOTED THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMUNITY HUB ON THE WEST SIDE, ACCING TO A NEWS RELEASE. She has also served as ceo of the metropolitan chicago and spent at firms Such as Arthur Andersen, Booz Allen, Snap-On Inc. and Crowe LL.

She serves on the boards of numerous nonprofits and companies in chicago, including Lanzatech Global, Chicago Center for Arts and Technology and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

McWHORTER SAID SHE LOOKS FORWARD TO THE EXECUTIVES ‘Club Hosting More Conversations that delve Into Important Topics for Business Leaders and Their Organizations. In recent months, businesses have begun winging their bass Over tariffs and labor, with industries like hospitity still a depleted workforce after the pandemic.

The Future of Artificial Intelligence and Other Disruptions to Businesses Are Topics the Organization Plans to Explore, McWhorter Said.

“We’re Definitely Thinking About Who We Bring here, what Conversations we have with Leaders Across Sectors, Across Industries,” She Said. “SO YES, INNOVATION. YES, DISRUPTION. But who doing that, and the way they doing things, i thinks, Could be really key to helping be inspired and think what’s next for us as leaders in chicago and beyond.”

McWHORTER ALSO SAID TODAY’S WORKFORCE IS MADE UP OF MANY Generations, Spanning from Baby Boomers to Gen Z. As Part of the Executives’ Club’s Evolution, McWhorter Envisions that Help Leaders and Those at Different PHASES of their Careers.

McWHORTER Recognizes there isn’t a One-Size-Fits-All Approach for Navigating the Disruptions Businesses Are Facing. She hopes the executives’ Club’s Expanded Programming Can Help Leaders Be Creative As they Navigate the Changing Landscape.

“I don’t think you can tell People what to do, but i think if you can unlock their imagination, They can … Think of New Solutions,” she said. “That’s my hope: that we bring people in.”
