It is feared that the accused first killed the woman and then escaped from the house with about 150 grams of gold jewelry and cash of Rs 2 Lakh. Information about this merciless murder came to light when the woman’s husband Prakash returned home for food that afternoon, where he found Lata dead and all the possessions were disturbed. According to family information, Lata’s husband Prakash is a wholesale dealers of clothing in Bengaluru, according to family information. The family is originally from Bidar and came to the Cottonpet area about a year ago. The couple was now preparing their daughter’s wedding and for this reason a large amount of cash and jewelry was held in the house. Lata was home alone, boy and daughter outside the family members were not at home at the time of the incident. The daughter went to the office, the boy was at school and the man worked in the store. In such a situation, it became easy for the accused to target Lata alone at home. Police suspect the family knowledge of the Cotton Pet police were involved in the incident because very few people were aware of the cash and jewelry in the home. Police are currently investigating CCTV footage and question the family and people in the area. Police believe that the accused was already aware of the status, time and property of the home.
