Bihar Education Department has launched academic supervision program in more than 81,000 government schools to improve the quality of education
Bihar Education Department has announced that academic monitoring will be done in the state in all 81.223 government schools. Faculty members of government teachers Training colleges are responsible for evaluating the academic performance of schools assigned to them and provides the necessary academic assistance. According to Vinayak Mishra, director of the State Education Research Council and Training Council, this comprehensive monitoring will cover 40,556 primary schools, 31.297 middle schools and 9,360 secondary and higher secondary schools. The purpose of this initiative is to bring a significant improvement in the quality of teaching and the learning results of the students. The department has assigned the work to oversee this process to the principals of the Teachers Education College, District Education and Training Institutions, Primary Teachers Teaching College and Teacher Education Institutions. Principals were instructed to ensure continuous residential training for teachers, resulting in meaningful changes in teaching practices. Monitoring will not only focus on teaching effectiveness, but also on important aspects such as teachers and student attendance, school infrastructure, co-establishment activities and class management. Faculty members will have to approve their scheduled schools and submit a detailed monitoring report in the prescribed format to the State Education Research and Training Council. This initiative is expected to strengthen the educational environment in government schools across the state and increase the overall academic standards. Share this story -tags
