Andra Soni acknowledged that many residents were not served by the vehicle Whitening program
Banten – Banten -Governor Andra Soni acknowledged that many residents were not served when they would join the car tax bleaching program. He requested that district and city governments find solutions to improve services. “They don’t want to, but are not served,” Andra Soni told reporters in the Banten DPRD building on Tuesday (6/10/2025). Andra explained that the enthusiasm of the community is still high to bleach, but some of them were not served in Samsat due to density. Andra asked Samsat in Regency and Cities to innovate in improving services. He gave an example in Pandeglose Regency that has only one Samsat to serve bleaching. “I ask Samsat or Bapenda to have a formula or way to improve services so that it can be served optimally,” he said. As for the expansion of the bleaching time, Andra said it was included in his balance. According to him, a study is needed to extend the bleaching period. “Many considered, but it needs a study,” he said. According to Andra, there have been about 500 thousand motorized vehicles that pay overdue amounts during the bleaching period. Andra hopes that the number can be a regional income data for the preparation of the budget each year. “Nearly 500 thousand vehicles have reactivated from 2.3 million overdue amount. From the 2.3 million data are two million motorcycles and 300 thousand old cars,” Andra said. “As far as numbers are concerned, it is not too big, but in terms of compliance, it will be good,” he said.
