Tripura: Women are becoming strong as Drone Didi in rural areas

Agartala, June 10 (IANS). Rupali, a Dukli resident, Tripura, is one of the Drone Didi group. He proudly participated in the exhibition arranged at the completion of 11 years of the central government led by Premier Narendra Modi in the capital Agartala and praised the plans of the central government. Tripura head minister Manik Saha inaugurated the program. This program has become proof of the changing nature of Indian agriculture. This time, the center of attraction was a stall operated by Drone Didis, symbolizing how technology and rural empowerment could work simultaneously. Together with the MP Rajiv Bhattacharya, the Minister of Agriculture, Ratan Lal Nath and Ard Minister Sudhanshu Das, the chief minister praised the leading spirit of women and his role in bringing about a revolution in farming methods. These women, known as Drone Didi, are trained to manage drones for important agricultural and farming works. These functions include spraying pesticides, spreading fertilizer and monitoring of crops. Drone Didi uses this technique aimed at reducing time, costs and labor for farmers. Rupali, who works as a Drone Didi, is an example of a strong woman proud of her work. He told the Ians news agency: “Most farmers cannot spray pesticides on all leaves or not achieve the roots effectively. With drones we can do it with accuracy and speed. It’s not just to help farmers. It’s also about making themselves independent.” “This is only possible because of the support provided to women and modern agriculture of the central government,” he said. The enthusiasm and confidence of Rupali and his comrades in Agartala shows what can be achieved through innovation, inclusion and empowerment. -Ians SCH/ABM shares this story tags
