Shares of Sun TV Network crashed by more than 5% on Friday after Dayanidhi Maran sent a legal notice to Kalanithi Maran, his brother and chairman of the company, claiming that irregularities were linked to Kalanithi’s ownership in the company. Dayanidhi, who is a member of Parliament of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), accused his brother and several others of ‘fraudulent practices’ and ‘criminal’ in the death of Sun TV for their father Murasoli Maran’s death in 2003. Dayanidhi also seeks the share of the leading structure of the leading structure of the 2003.
