CBI was successful in the extradition of Moidina Umar Berry, which is accused in a false currency of the UAE

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has achieved great success in a huge success in cross-border crime enforcement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) officials and Interpol and succeeded in coordinating the return of Moidinab Omar Berry, the most important accused in high-profile currency and interpoles. This information was given by the investigative agency on Friday. Berry, won by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), reached Mumbai on Friday as banned from the United Arab Emirates. He ended up at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport through the flight number AI-920 of Dubai. CBI’s International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU), along with the National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abu Dhabi, traced Berry in the UAE and discovered its location. He was caught and deported after extensive coordination by Interpol channels. According to the CBI, Interpol issued a red notice against Berry on December 30 in 2013 based on the case registered by the Kochi branch of NIA. He is accused of buying high -quality false Indian currency notes in Dubai and smuggling through Sharjah in India, whose consignment eventually reaches Bengaluru. Berry contains allegations of forgery, fraud and criminal conspiracy. After the arrest in the UAE, the Indian authorities presented a formal extradition request by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Foreign Ministry (MEA). Interpol Red Notice is issued for the internationally searched refugees and is sent to law enforcement agencies worldwide. The CBI nominated as the National Central Bureau for Interpol in India work through its Interpol unit called Bharatpol, which ensures the collaboration between Indian and global law enforcement agencies.
