RGHs will be made technically strong and transparent, patients will get quality treatment

The Rajasthan government’s ambitious scheme ‘Rajasthan Health Scheme’ (RGHS) will now be made technically simpler, transparent and effective, so that the civil servants, pensioners and their families can get health services. In a RGHS scheme review meeting held in Health Building, Jaipur on Thursday, medical minister Gajendra Singh Khivansar instructed officials that there should be no room for any form of irregularity in the scheme. He said that the purpose of the scheme is to provide accessible and reliable treatment to the people, and the technology should be used for this. Important instructions given at the meeting: All procedures of the scheme must be done online using e-management and digital platforms strongly. Cashless and paperless service is available for patients, so they have no discomfort during treatment. Information such as the panel list of hospitals, treatment package, claim status must be made transparent on public platforms. Immediate actions should be ensured on complaints such as unauthorized invoice, wrong treatment and fraud. The emphasis on transparency and accountability, Minister Khivansar said that the government’s intention is that every eligible beneficiary should get better health facilities without any discrimination. For this, transparency and accountability in the system are given priority. He also asked officials to make the RGHS portal and helpline number better so that the patients’ complaints could be resolved in time. What is RGHS? Under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), the current and retired government employees, pensioners and their dependents are offered cashless treatment in the government and listed private hospitals.
