Railways have built a building (symbolic photo) for employees of the Track maintenance with 3D printing technology. Rail Development Corporation Limited (RVNL) built the building using 3D printing technology in 100 square meters for employees who maintain the track at the Parvaturam Railway Station in Andhra Pradesh. It was prepared within 25 days. The first building of the railroad built with 3D printed technology is the first railway building of 3D printed technology. It will work as a shelter for the maintenance employees (Gangmen). Unlike traditional brick, this building is built using a 3D payment printer. This is how the work is a large robotic machine, which prints the structures in layers with special concrete material. RVNL official provided information on the materials used in construction, saying that advanced construction materials such as ultra-high performance concrete and light concrete were used to increase durability, lose weight and accelerate the construction process. This building is located under the Waltaire section of the eastern coastal railway zone in the Walting section of the eastern coastal track zone. RVNL chairman and managing director Pradeep Gaur said that modern construction technology has been successfully performed. This initiative can pave the way for the widespread use of 3D products in low cost, fast construction infrastructure projects in India. This is an important step in modernization of construction practices.
