Friendship Day 2025: If two handful of rice changes happiness, Sri Krishna-Sudama's friendship is still an example of true love and respect

The relationship of friendship is considered the most beautiful in this world, because in this relationship is not seen in color or beauty, money or any discrimination. This time friendship day will be celebrated on August 3. If someone gives an example of true friendship, that of Shri Krishna and his friend Sudama is the first name that comes in the spirit. Shri Krishna was not just a king or God, he was a symbol of love, the ocean of compassion and a true person who followed the relationship. On the one hand, while Shri Krishna Arjuna showed the path of religion in Kurukshetra, on the other hand, by being the feet of his poor friend Sudama, he proved that love friendship is above any royal position or power. Krishna and Sudama have been studying together since childhood. But there comes a time when Shri Krishna became the king of Dwarka and on the other hand his friend Sudama became so poor that it was difficult to arrange for the house daily. Sudama could not raise his wife and children. In such a situation, Sudama’s wife Sushila said one day: ‘You are a child friend of Shri Krishna, nowadays he is the king of Dwarka. Why don’t you ask for help from him? ‘ When he heard it, Sudama hesitated a little. But he had no other option left. So he thought he would go to Dwarka to meet Krishna. Sudama was ready to go to Dwarka with three handfuls of rice offer, but he did not find it appropriate to go empty -handed. Then his wife sushila borrowed three handful of rice from the neighbor and tied it in a small bundle and gave it to Sudama and said, ‘He must offer it to Shri Krishna.’ Sudama met his friend with a bundle. Many days went by as he walked, but Sudama had the hope that Krishna would accept him as before. When Sudama stood in front of the Great Palace of Shri Krishna, the gatekeepers saw him as a contempt. The gatekeepers asked Sudama who he was and who he came to meet with. Sudama said, “I am a child friend of Shri Krishna and want to meet him.” When he heard it, the guards began to laugh, and after a while he went inside and told Shri Krishna. Once Shri Krishna heard his friend’s name, he forgot the form of the king and ran out of the palace. Shri Krishna, who sees Sudama standing at the door, embraces and his eyes get moist. Shri Krishna took Sudama in the palace and placed him on his throne. Then he began to wash his feet with his tears. When you see this scene, everyone in the palace was surprised. Sudama received the wealth of two worlds with two handfuls of rice. After respecting Sudama in the palace, Shri Krishna Sudama asked, “Friend, what did you bring to me?” When he heard this, Sudama felt embarrassed and hid the bundle. But Shri Krishna knew about his friend’s heart. He said, do you hide my part of rice like childhood? He said that Shri Krishna himself took a bundle of Sudama and started eating rice. Once Shri Krishna ate the first handful of rice, he in return gave Sudama the wealth of a world. Once he ate the second handful of rice, Sudama received the wealth of two worlds. But as soon as Krishna begins to eat the third handful of rice, Rukmini stops them and says, “Lord, if you give them all three people, where will other animals and gods go?” Sri Krishna stopped after listening to jerkmini. In this way, without saying anything, without asking, just in exchange for the feeling of love, Shri Krishna made his friend Sudama full of honor, wealth and happiness and prosperity.
