The Ministry of Home Affairs takes in 55 new officials, and emphasizes ASN integrity and loyalty
Jakarta -Secretary -General (Secretary -General) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Tomsi Tohir inaugurated 55 new officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The march took place at Sasana Bhakti Praja (SBP), the headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jakarta. The appointed official consisted of 1 Pratama High Leadership Official, 48 administrator officials and 6 functional officials. In his direction, Tomsi highlights the importance of integrity, loyalty and professionalism in the performance of official duties, as well as full support for the priority program of President Prabowo Subianto. “We expect the complete integrity, professionalism and dedication to make the best contribution to the community, nation and country,” Tomsi said in his statement on Friday (1/8/2025). Furthermore, Tomsi also emphasized the important role of officials appointed to support the smooth operation of the president’s priority programs. According to him, the great vision of the government must be a guideline in the design and execution of technical policies in their respective working units. “We must certainly know all the priority programs of the president, especially those related to their respective command fields,” he explained. He gave an example of two excellent government programs, namely the construction of three million houses and free nutrition programs (MBG). The MBG program, says Tomsi, has a broad impact, including opening jobs and encouraging local economic growth. “It will definitely turn on the wheels of the economy in the area,” he said. Tomsi also reminded officials not to be quickly complacent with the position reached. He encouraged them to continue to develop themselves, adaptable to the dynamics of work, and take the initiative without always waiting for the instructions of superiors. “In a new place, it develops ourselves well, teaches his work and notes the environment, that we do not (basically) work statically,” he said. In addition, Tomsi revealed the plan to provide higher educational scholarships for the Ministry of Home Affairs Civil Device (ASN), at home as well as abroad. The scholarship includes domestic S2 and S3 programs, as well as LPDP Scholarship Preparation Courses for overseas studies. “Hopefully if there is no change in the budget program next year, which starts in January, I also ask to be budgeted in connection with bursaries,” he said. By closing his guidance, Tomsi hopes that the appointed officials can work more planned, results -oriented and fully support government programs to improve community welfare. “I hope that in the future we will be more able to plan the work as well as possible. And that everything returns to how we follow the government program to prosper the community,” he concluded.
