The state government made a great decision on the restructuring and reorganization of urban bodies in Rajasthan. Reorganization of wards of all 305 urban bodies has been approved. This decision was made at a review meeting of the Cabinet subcommittee of the State Government, held on Tuesday in the auditorium of the Department of Autonomous Management. The meeting is chaired by Jhabar Singh Kharra, Minister of State Development and the Autonomous Government Department. The meeting agreed to finalize the process of restructuring, taking into account the current population of urban bodies, geographical conditions, need for development, demand for public representatives and the ease of the ordinary man. This decision is considered an important step towards the urban administration more effective and to run the public facilities smoothly. Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra made it clear during the meeting that the purpose of the state government is to empower urban bodies and make the administrative system more transparent and accountable. He said that in the light of the increasing population and urbanization rate there is a demand for changes in the limit and structure of the current wards. There are many wards where the density of the population is unbalanced, causing obstacles in the performance of developmental works. In such a situation, the proper distribution of resources and better implementation of schemes will be possible by reorganization. Department of Autonomous Management officials said at the meeting that under this process the necessary changes would be made based on the number of wards in each urban body, their limits and population. A detailed survey has already been performed for this, based on which proposals were prepared. Now after the approval of the Cabinet subcommittee, the process will be implemented. At the meeting, other members of the sub -committee and departmental officials also made their proposals. Everyone described this decision as positive and visionary for the urban development of the state. He said it would give the development of infrastructure in urban areas and facilities to the citizens, according to their requirement. It is noteworthy that Rajasthan currently has a total of 305 urban bodies, including municipal corporation, municipal councils and municipalities. The ratio of wards, limiting the restriction and population among these bodies remains unchanged for many years. The decision made by the government is expected to be a significant improvement in the effectiveness of the urban administration. This state government initiative is seen as an important step to make urban government more democratic, inclusive and developmental. It is expected to produce positive results in the coming time.
