Ruckus on the selection process in the Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council, strong protest on the Democratic Revolutionary Front

The controversy over the selection of nominated members, including the Registrar in the Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council (JSPC), has now caught fire. On Saturday, the Jharkhand Democratic Revolutionary Morcha conducted a protest march before the council office gate in Ranchi amid constant questions about the selection process. The protesters claim that the rules were ignored in the appointment of registrar and other members and the whole process was not transparent. The leaders of the Morcha said that the favorites got the posts, which not only raised questions about the dignity of the council, but that there is also a resentment in the pharmacist community, the favorites to bypass the qualification, experience and procedural transparency in the selection. The memorandum of the claims was submitted to the protests, the Morcha delegation submitted a memorandum of their claims to the chairman of the Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council. In the memorandum, the appointment of registrar and nominated members was canceled immediately, the new selection process is demanded to begin under the supervision of the Independent Committee. Anger among pharmacists is an increasing resentment in the pharmacist community of Jharkhand as a result of this total controversy.
