Illegal immigrant Harjinder Singh is accused of a fatal accident in Florida charged with three counts of vehicle murder

A man accused of entering the US illegally was arrested after a tragic road accident in Florida who led to the death of three people. Harjinder Singh, the relevant truck driver, is facing deportation and has been charged with three counts of vehicle murder after the accident Tuesday, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). Officials say Singh rode a commercial semi-truck with a trailer on the Florida Turnpike in Fort Pierce when he allegedly tried to make a U-turn in an area where it was not allowed. The trailer hampered and crashed into a minibus and killed all three people inside. Singh, who allegedly crossed the US and Mexico border in 2018, acquired a commercial driver’s license in California. In a law adopted in California in 2013, residents can get a driver’s license, regardless of their immigration status. “It’s a devastating tragedy that gets even worse by the fact that it was completely preventable,” Withuis spokesman Abigail Jackson said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Illegal strangers who have no legitimate right to be in our country certainly should not be granted commercial driver’s licenses.” The Rapid Response Account of the White House also confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that a detention of an immigration and customs retention (ICE) was issued against Singh. The Florida highway safety announced a statement about the accident. FLHSMV executive director Dave Kerner said in a statement: “The actions the defendant did while using a commercial tractor trailer are both shocking and criminal. Three people have lost their lives because of his recklessness, and countless friends and family members will experience the pain of their loss forever.” Singh remains in custody and stands in front of both state and federal legal action.
