28 girls from Jayaprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya victim of food poisoning, admitted to hospital
An unmarried news came from the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. 28 students from Jayaprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, located in Bever area, fell victim to food poisoning on Wednesday, after which there was a stir in the school administration and health department. The sick girl students were immediately included in the Community Health Center, where their treatment continued until late night. The team from the Department of Health and the local administration became active once the incident was received. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the students receive food poisoning from school food. All the students complained after lunch with stomach pain, vomiting and dizziness, after which teachers and staff immediately rushed to the hospital with the help of ambulances and private vehicles. According to doctors, most of the girl students were relieved to moderate level food poisoning, which was supervised after first aid. Some girls students were kept in observation if they were in critical condition. Teams of health workers were in treatment until late night in hospital. The family members of the girl students who reached the hospital accused the school administration of negligence. He says if the quality of the food is noticed in time, such an incident could be avoided. There is an atmosphere of fear and anxiety in school after the incident. The district administration ordered an investigation into the case. The joint team deputy collector and CMO visited the school and took samples from kitchen and food items sent to the laboratory for investigation. The administration gave the assurance that strict steps will be taken against the culprits after the investigation report. This incident raised questions about the quality and monitoring system of foods available in schools. This is not the first time that children who study in government or assisted schools are facing food poisoning. Health experts believe that such incidents can be repeated without regularly investigating food quality and the hard compliance with cleanliness. It is currently said that the condition of all the girl students is stable and they are expected to be healthy and be discharged soon. It is now the responsibility of the administration and school management not to allow such incidents to repeat and give the most important precedence to the safety of the students.
