The bill shows that a total of Rs 4000 was taken at Rs 2000 per page for a two-page copy of ‘Raj Photo Copy Center and Digital Studios’, while the price of photocopy is generally priced at Rs 1-2 per page. The bill also mentions other materials, but it focuses mainly on photocopy. The Panchayat approved it by applying its official seal. This incident is a new chapter in a series of corruption cases that are constantly exposed in the Shahdol district. Such manipulation of the amount allocated for rural development affects the facilities that the ordinary people reach. Local residents say such false accounts reveal the lack of transparency at Panchayat level.
