Student's election case in the Rajasthan High Court, Trial postponed, new date was set on September 3

The hearing was postponed in the Rajasthan High Court on Friday in the case of the Student’s recovery union election in Rajasthan. The main hearing of the case is held by Justice Sameer Jain, but due to his absence, the trial of today was handled by Justice Anop Kumar Dhand. Justice Dhand determined the new date for the trial of the case on September 3, 2025. The case was started by the requester Jai Rao, a student at Rajasthan University, who disputed the government’s decision in the Supreme Court. Jai Rao says that the democratic rights of the students were violated and that the student representatives should be selected by the election. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, the lawyer of the requester argued that the process of election of the student association should be complete and transparent and that students cannot be denied their constitutional rights. At the same time, the state government said that elections were prohibited from protecting the students and maintaining peace in the university. Experts believe that the case of students’ elections is not limited to university administration. This is related to the democratic rights and management of the students in educational institutions. The decision of the Supreme Court in this case will decide the direction of the student’s union election in universities across the state. There was a long -standing dispute about the election of the students in Rajasthan. Last year, the elections of students’ union were not held, which led to dissatisfaction and differences between the students. Now, both the students and the university administration are expected to get a clear direction from the trial of the case in the Supreme Court. After Justice Dhand determined the new date of trial, the requester Jai Rao and his advocates said they would deliver their arguments in the next trial with the full preparation before the court. He also said that if the elections in the Student Association are restored, the participation of students at the university and democratic procedures will be strengthened. Everyone’s eyes are now on this decision of the Rajasthan High Court. Students, teachers and education experts are eager to know if the ban on the state government will be challenged and the elections of the students will be restored to the universities of Rajasthan. The next trial of the case is scheduled on September 3, 2025, when the court will make a decision by listening to the facts and arguments from both sides. This decision will clear the direction of the Student Association election and the role of student representatives in the university will be re -activated. Share this story -tags
