Spicejet -aircraft wheel turned out during take off, safe landing in Mumbai

Mumbai, September 12 (IANS). On Thursday, a Spicejet flight put passengers and aviation officials into anxiety when an outer wheel of the plane fell on the runway as they flew from Kandla Airport in Gujarat. These Q400 aircraft had 75 passengers. However, it was a matter of relief that the plane ended up safely in Mumbai and no passenger was injured. In a statement issued by the airline, the spokesman said that an external wheel was found on the runway on September 12 after the Spicejet Q400 aircraft went from Kandla to Mumbai. Nevertheless, the plane continued with its journey to Mumbai and landed safely. After a smooth landing, the plane reached the terminal with its power and all the passengers normally ended up. It is noteworthy that once it is reported that one wheel of the plane was found on the runway after flying, Mumbai Airport was immediately declared a complete emergency. All emergency services were warned and fire tenders, ambulances and other rescue teams were deployed on the runway. Pilots and ground staff were fully careful to ensure the safety of passengers during the landing. After the incident, Spicejet made it clear that the safety of passengers was extremely important and that such technical events would be investigated extensively. The airline said the landing of the aircraft was completely controlled and safe and no loss of life. This is not the first time the wheel has been malfunctioning while flying a plane. In the past, many such incidents have come to light, although in most cases the situation was handled by the pilot’s understanding and the readiness of the ground staff. -Ians pim/gkt share this story tags
