Maneka Gandhi expressed deep concern about the inhuman cruelty on animals in Char Dham Yatra
Mumbai, September 13 (IANS). Senior BJP leader, former MP and famous animal rights activist Haneka Gandhi gave a disputed but serious statement about the Char Dham Yatra. He said it now looks like God has left Char Dham too. He expressed deep concern about the inhuman cruelty on animals during the journey, saying that the heart was broken by seeing the pain of soil, concrete and irregular animals. Maleka Gandhi said that if we care for our forest and animal, we can do very well in the tourism industry. But here hotels are built by forests, what will tourists see if the forests are no longer? He said that the kind of behavior treated with animals is very wrong. In a large multitude of dedicated and the greed of high earnings, the owners still work with animals, which damage animals. Last year, only 700 animals from Hemund Sahib fell and died. What God will remain here in such a situation? Earlier, where views of grasslands and flowers were decorated, concrete is now visible everywhere. This scene can make someone unhappy. Actually, Maneka Gandhi questions the situation of animals in the Char Dham Yatra earlier. He believes that the kind of hard labor provided by the irregular horse mules during this journey is not only inhumane, but it is also spoiled the natural and religious balance. Char Dham Yatra, especially the journey of Dhams such as Kedarnath and Hemus, goes through extremely difficult and inaccessible hills. Many dedicated, especially the elderly, women and children, cannot climb on foot. In such a situation, a large part of the journey is completed with the help of horse mules. However, the government makes rules for the use of these animals every year, such as providing adequate rest, food and water supply for a certain distance. But in reality, these rules are not followed. -Ians pim/gkt share this story tags
