Menbud encourages Cultural Park to become a motorcycle to promote culture
Jakarta – Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon encourages all elements of society to jointly strengthen the sustainable cultural ecosystem amid digital transformation, social change and also global challenges. According to him, the community must be more adaptable without forgetting the noble values of the culture of the country. He conveyed the statement when he opened the meeting of the Culture Park in Indonesia XXIV on the open stage Bakhtiar Sanderta, Taman Budaya South Kalimantan, on Sunday (9/14). The event with the theme ‘Suluh Budaya Gate Nusantara’ has become an annual strategic forum for managers of cultural parks from different regions. “Cultural Park is a center for arts and cultural activities that functions as an open space or an integrated area for the conservation, development, guidance and appreciation of different forms of cultural expressions, both traditional and modern,” said Fadli Zon, Monday (9/15/2025) in a written statement. Fadli hopes that this performance can provide a process of cooperation between the government and the private sector to jointly promote Indonesian culture and create a cultural and creative industry. “We hope that there is a matching fund between the government and the private sector, the corporation to jointly promote the museum, cultural heritage and cultural parks in their respective regions as the leading guard,” he said. The Deputy Governor of South Calimantan, Hasuryadi Sulaiman, also said that the cultural park is proof that cultural arts are an association of all Indonesian diversity. “We must continue to preserve the power of cultural arts we need to preserve, and can continue to develop without losing the roots of traditions. Let our culture make culture as the power of the nation in the future,” Hasuryadi said.
