The Chhattisgarh government has made an important decision to increase the ex -gratia amount given to the dependents of the marted soldiers from 20 lakh rupees in war and military proceedings. The heroic soldiers also received an amount of Rs 1 crore instead of 40 lakhs. The decision was made at the meeting of the sixth State Sainik Council Committee held at the Ministry of Mahanadi Bhavan on Monday chaired by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. The chief minister said: “Our soldiers sacrifice the life for the safety of the country. We are committed to the well -being of their families as we bow to their bravery and sacrifice.” In the meeting, many welfare schemes were discussed for former servicemen, brave women of martyrs, widows and dependents. Sai insisted that the well -being of the soldiers ready in the protection of 140 Crore countrymen is our duty. Ex -servicemen and their families will directly benefit from the decisions made during the meeting. CM Sai posted on social media platform X and wrote: “This is our highest responsibility for the brave boys and their families who sacrificed their lives in defense of Maa Bharti. It was decided to increase the grains of the soldiers who were tortured in war and military action in the meeting of the Sainik Committee of the Sainik Wear section to increase the amount of RS 20 Lakh to RS.” He wrote, “The heroic soldiers receiving paramvir Chakra will now be provided Rs 1 crore instead of 40 lakhs. The help of the disabled soldiers in the war was also increased from 10 lakhs.
