UP scholarship scheme, launched government online applications for Class 8 students, 15.143 seats allocated
The online application process for the National Instrument-Cum-ethevik Scholarship (NMMS) scheme examination 2026-27 has begun and will remain open until September 24. All qualifying students from Uttar Pradesh can apply under the registration process that began from August 27. This investigation will be held at the prescribed centers at district level on November 9. The Government of India has granted 15.143 seats for the state, which aims to get 15 times more applications than the number of seats available in each district. To qualify, students must pass Class 7 in 2024-25 with at least 55 percent points (50 percent for SC/ST candidates) and must currently be nominated in a government, the government’s help or school school for a 2025-26 session. Students from Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya schools, military schools, government institutions and private schools are not eligible. The annual income of the parents or parents of the applicant may not exceed Rs 3.5 Lakh from all sources. Selected students receive a scholarship of Rs 1 000 per month (annually Rs 12,000) from Class 9 to Class 12, provided they continue their education without any interruption. No exam fee will be charged. Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev instructed all District School Inspectors (DIOs) and Basic Education Officers (BEOS) to ensure the maximum participation of eligible students through an extensive campaign.
