Lucknow, September 16 (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh police have announced the data of his actions so far on Gokshi and cow smuggling. During this period from January 1, 2024 to 31 August 2025, strict fighting against cow-in-law and Gokshi was done across the state. According to police, a total of 699 cases related to Gokshi are registered in this year and a half. In these cases, 2,279 accused were arrested, while 539 accused surrendered in court. A total of 1,200 cases of cow smuggling were also registered, in which 2,709 accused were arrested. 568 accused surrendered in court. UP police acted in terms of strict provisions of the law against those involved in serious cases of Gokshi. The Gunda Act was imposed on 539 accused associated with Gokshi, while 6 accused were also acted under the National Security Act. Police seized assets worth Rs 9 Crore 19 Lakh 87 thousand people involved in Gokshi, who have so far been considered a big action. Police did not leave behind cow-smuggling cases even. Cases were registered against 476 accused against the Gunda Act, 9 under the gangster act on NSA and 1.328. At the same time, a 288 accused history magazine was also opened so that their criminal records could be carefully detected. In cases associated with cow smuggling, so far, assets worth Rs 97 lakh 43 have been seized.
