Print Young Entrepreneurs, Pegadaian launches the Garuda program at Unibraw

Jakarta – Pt Pegadaian has launched the Garuda program (spouse entrepreneurship) to print a strong and competitive young entrepreneur. The kick-off event and the national seminar took place on Thursday (9/18) at Brawijaya University, Malang. The Garuda program is a collaboration between a pawn shop and different universities. This program is an answer to the request of the Ministry of Youth and Sport (Kemenpora) to create massive students entrepreneurial ecosystems in Indonesia. It also supports MSMEs to move to class and competitively, which corresponds to the vision with ultra micro holding and government programs. This program is part of a broader collaboration between a pawnshop and Universitas Brawijaya, including the existence of the spouse Creative Lounge in the campus environment. The Garuda program takes six months and involves students, lecturers and academics. The curriculum and teaching methods were adopted by Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA), an academy who has 17 years of experience in producing young entrepreneurs. YEA will intensively accompany the implementation of the program and ensure that the participants get the best guidance from business practitioners. In the kick -off event, it was also announced that 50 selected finalists will continue the competition to compete around the 30 best positions. The 50 finalists are the results of strict selection of registration opened from the end of August to early September 2025. Garuda is also aimed at increasing the index of success of entrepreneurship students and SDG no. 8 supporting that focuses on decent work and economic growth. Pegadaian is present as a forum that supports the MSME community, provides training and providing coaching for operational actors. The presence of the Garuda program is also a pawn effort to encourage national economic development. Through this program, the pawnshop focused on increasing the capacity of the younger generation than a prospective leader and future economic driver.
