Bihar Minister Jeevesh Mishra sent a legal notice to Tejashwi Yadav

Patna, September 20 (IANS). Jeevesh Mishra, Minister of Urban Development of Bihar, sent a legal notice to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. It is alleged that Tejashwi Yadav made false, misleading and defamatory statements by social media and press, which aims to harm the image of the minister and to take political advantage. Minister Jeevesh Mishra, who comes from Jale Block in the Darbhanga district, sent a legal notice to Tejashwi Yadav through his lawyer. This notice said that the minister was the director of the former drug company ‘Messrs Alto Health Care Private Limited’, related to medicine industry. In 2012, a complaint was filed by the drug control officer of the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, in which 16 people were accused. It was also named Company of Minister Jeevesh Mishra. The case went into the CJM court, Rajsamand, whose criminal case number 96/2012. The case was associated with a tablet named Ciprlyn 500, which should have had a amount of Ciprofloxacin 500 mg. The drug was manufactured by Francis Biotech India Private Limited and Alto Health Care used to buy and distribute it as an authorized distributor. Investigations found that the amount of Ciprofloxacin in the tablet was 92,339 percent, which is within 90 percent to 110 percent. However, it was found that the drug in the design test failed. Most importantly, however, it was not described as incorrect, falsified or false in any laboratory report. On June 4, 2025, the chief law magistrate, Rajsamand Court, said in his ruling that the case is of a technical nature, not a deliberate error. Since all the accused had a case for 12 years and had no criminal history, they received relief in terms of the Offenders 1958 Act. No accused was sentenced to any punishment, but a mortgage was filled for not doing such a crime for a year, and each was instructed to deposit a cost of Rs 7,000. In addition, on June 30, 2025, the Sessions Court also gave a stay at this order, that is, the case is not completely over. Nevertheless, on September 15, the notice states that Tejashwi Yadav made a false assertion on September 15 via his Facebook account that Jeevesh Mishra was involved in the sale of false medicine. Drug theft was convicted. The minister says he has never stolen drugs, and that such allegations have ever been proven in court. According to the notice issued, Tejashwi Yadav wrote in his Facebook post on September 15 that the conviction Jeevesh Mishra, who played the drug stolen by false medicine, is sitting in the CM Nitish Kumar cabinet. On September 16, Tjashwi posted again and wrote: “BJP’s corrupt drug thief minister Jeevesh Mishra in the Bihar government selling false medicine.” According to the lawyer, this statement from Tejashwi Yadav is completely false, misleading and malicious, aimed at damaging the political and social image of the minister. The notice warns Tejashwi Yadav to withdraw his statements immediately, to apologize and does not do such statements further. In the event that this is not done, it has been said to take legal action. -Ians vku/gkt
