Gulab Chand Qataria Meet PM Modi, Discussion on Many Issues
New -Delhi, September 23 (IANS). Punjab -Governor and Chandigarh administrator Gulab Chand Qataria met Premier Modi in New -Delhi on Tuesday. During this, he informed PM Modi about the current situation of Punjab and Chandigarh and the most important development priorities of the region. Governor Gulab Chand Qataria has taken a detailed description of measures after the devastating flooding in Punjab. He shared information to Prime Minister Modi on coordinated efforts of state machinery and voluntary organizations to provide assistance to the affected families, the restoration of public infrastructure and to ensure effective measures for the control of flood -driven disease control. Gulab Chand Kataria also discussed concerns about safety and development along the international border with Pakistan. He emphasized the need to draw up operating units in these sensitive areas by the central government, making jobs for youth. He also talked about the increasing vigilance along the international border by installing an anti-drain system and high-definition cameras. Governor Gulab Chand Qataria has informed Premier Modi of the implementation of new education policy in Punjab and Chandigarh. He told efforts that efforts were being made to improve the quality of higher education by linking settings with NAAC recognition. He also shared details of the continued awareness campaigns in the state, which aims to make the youth aware and promote a healthy society. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria also discussed the idea of setting up a ‘gift city’ on the lines of Gujarat International Finance Tech-City (Gift City) with the aim of promoting economic development in Chandigarh. He discussed the new sports policy and said that Chandigarh should be seen as a major sports center. All the talent released from here offers national and international competitions.
