Mission Shakti Abhiyan in Varanasi, police arrested 1521 people and arrested 16 people
Varanasi police have launched an extensive investigation campaign under Mission Shakti Five for the safety of women and girl students. During this time, police teams performed in markets, shopping malls, parks, schools, residences and other public places. The campaign was led by additional police commissioner Shivhari Mena. According to police sources, a major coverage of the campaign, a total of 1521 people, was investigated under the mission Shakti Abhiyan, of which 16 was arrested. The arrested youth are accused of harassing women and girls in activities such as harassment, immorality and the breaking of discipline. Police have made it clear that such campaigns will continue constantly so that women can find a safe environment in public places. Action on the commissioner’s instructions was carried out this special campaign based on the instructions of police commissioner Mohit Aggarwal. He instructed officials to increase patrolling and investigation in schools, colleges, residences, markets and overcrowded areas. In this order, the police teams also monitored ordinary clothing and acted immediately on suspicious activities. The emphasis on women’s safety said additional police commissioner Shivhari Mena that the purpose of missionary power is to give fear -free environment to women and girls. He said the priority of the police is that no woman or student has to feel uncertain while leaving the road. He also called for women to inform the police immediately about any form of molestation or harassment. For this, resources such as Helpline Number and Women Power Line 1090 are available. Local citizens and shop owners also supported the police during the ordinary man’s support campaign. In many places, people appreciate that the presence of the police fight anti -social elements.
