Odisha: Allegations of scam in AC-ST schemes, the leader of Congress Ram Chandra Kadam wrote a letter to Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar, September 25 (IANS). Ram Chandra Kadam, leader of the MLA and the Congress Legislature Party, claimed that there is a great disorder and financing in the continued schemes for the development of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in Odisha. As for this matter, Ram Chandra Kadam wrote a letter to the chief minister of the state of Mohan Charan Majhi demanding immediate and strict action. Ram Chandra Kadam quoted the recently released CAG report in his letter, which made serious allegations of funding and financial irregularity of funds and financial irregularities against Odisha’s Integrated Tribal Development Agency (TIDA). He wrote, “These funds are for the upliftment and well -being of the most disadvantaged divisions of society. It is not only against the law, but it also breaks the confidence of the people in government and administration.” Kadam called on the chief minister to conduct an independent, fair and time -bound investigation into the matter, so that the culprits could be punished and the wrong amount could be recovered. At the same time, he also talked about taking immediate affirmative steps to further empower the financial monitoring system. Kadam demanded that the investigation and steps taken in this whole case should be shared in public, so that the public’s confidence can be re -established. He said the scam in the Welfare Schemes of ST/SC communities is a fraud with the confidence of these communities.
