Csir Foundation Day: India's scientific future symbol, dream of India strong with innovations

The Foundation Day of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) founded in 1942 is celebrated each year on September 26, which is a symbol of India’s scientific freedom struggle and industrial development. Foundation Day is an opportunity to remember CSIR’s achievements, innovations and contributions to society. CCSIR was established during World War II, when India had a serious need for indigenous research. Sir Arcot, who started with Ramaswamy Mudalier, is one of the world’s leading research institutions with more than 16,000 scientists and employees today. CSIR has left its mark in every area of Cowaksine to environmentally friendly techniques. It achieved more than 20,000 patents and arranged India in the top 10 countries in global innovation. The CSIR was founded on September 26, 1942 during World War II. At the time, India was on British colonial rule and the need for scientific research felt due to obstacles in the war supply chain. Sir Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar laid its foundation, called “Father of Research Laboratories of India”. This organization, which was initially established as an advisory board, became an autonomous body under the Society Registration Act, 1860 in 1942. The main purpose of it was to promote scientific and industrial research, utilize natural resources and develop new industries. CSIR has proven its ability through tasks such as fuel from warts needs such as vegetable oil mixture, plastic packaging for army shoes, colors for uniforms and vitamin preparation. CSIR’s contribution is numerous. It works in broad areas ranging from radio and space cruise to ocean science, chemicals, medicines, genomics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, mining, aviation, environmental engineering and information technology. The importance of the CSIR Foundation Day also increases because it inspires young scientists. On this day, price distribution, honorary monkey, lectures and cultural programs are organized in laboratories. Retired employees are given their honor. In the contemporary era, when the target of developed India is 2047, organizations such as CSIR ensure sustainable development by promoting startups.
