According to the corporation officials, the outstanding amount on such people is more than 100 crores, which increases each month. The household connection in the city owes 9 crores, 15 in the enterprise and Rs 20 crore on industrial connections. In addition, more than 300 handloma units installed in the city also have about 12 of the electricity corporation. So the outstanding amount is more than 50 crores. Officials say this amount could increase even more in the coming time. Electricity theft also, in addition to the payment of arrears, is stolen in the city on a large scale. Some workers take care of the thieves by taking facilities. As a result, not only the electricity corporation suffered a financial loss of rupees per month, but consumers who cheated time with timely feeling.
