Sarandeep Singh will remain the head coach of Delhi Senior Men's Cricket Team
New -Delhi, September 27 (IANS). Sarandeep Singh, former play -off and national appraiser of the Indian cricket team, was retained as the Delhi men’s cricket team coach. Kuldeep Rawat, V. Arind and Kshitij Sharma will work with Sarandeep Singh as associated staff. Between 2000 and 2003, the Delhi senior cricket team performed last season in coaching Sarandeep Singh, who played 3 Tests and 5 ODIs for the Indian cricket team. His coaching could not qualify for the Delhi Ranji trophy and the knockout phase of Vijay Hazare Trophy, but the team reached it after the quarter of Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Sarandeep Singh was made the coach of the Delhi team for the first time on September 21, 2024. Sarandeep Singh couldn’t get much chance to play internationally. He became part of the Indian team at a time when Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh were established as spinners. That was the main reason that Sarandeep did not get enough opportunities in Team India. Sarandeep’s career has long been in domestic cricket. Sarandeep Singh, who played domestic cricket for Delhi and Punjab, took 314 wickets in 92 first class matches, 91 in 77 list a match and 11 wickets in 10 T20 matches. For the Indian team, he took 10 wickets in 3 Tests and 3 wickets in 5 ODIs. In light of the widespread experience in domestic cricket and success as a spinner, Sarandeep was retained as a coach.
