Minneapolis (AP) dragons Lindsay threw for 324 meters and three Touchdowns on Saturday when Minnesota gathered to defeat Rutgers 31-28. The Golden Gophers (3-1, 1-0 in the Big Ten) played with their top two backs and had trouble establishing a land game, which just chased 35 meters. But Lindsay, their first-year-Quarterback, completed 31 out of 41 passes, using the short passing game to control the clock and help Minnesota recover from a 14-0 deficit. The Rutgers -quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, who spent three years in the Minnesota program and was the Gophers’ starting batsman in 2023, threw in 2023 for 249 meters and two touchdowns. Antwan Raymond rushed to a career-high 161 meters and two counts for the Scarlet Knights (3-2, 0-2). The Golden Gophers led 28-24 when they got the ball back with 6:24 to play. Lindsay went 6 for 7 for 72 meters and found Javon Tracy of 4 meters outside to give Minnesota the lead. Rutgers then moved the ball to the 26 of Minnesota, but a wrong communication on a shotgun cost the Scarlet Knights 15 meters. Dane Pizzaro’s field goal of the 56 -meter game was widely ready. Minnesota did not want to start his Big Ten schedule with a home loss, especially with a trip to Columbus to play Ohio State next week. Rutgers resulted in the fourth quarter of both his Big Ten losses.
