'Mann Ki Benat': PM Modi bent before the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Lata Mangeshkar
New -Delhi, September 28 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi bowed before the birthday of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and ‘Bharat Ratna’ Lata Mangeshkar. PM Modi, which advises the 126th episode of the ‘Mann KI Benef’ program, also remembered the contribution of both the great personalities. Prime Minister Modi described Bhagat Singh as an inspiration, saying: ‘Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh is an inspiration for every Indian and especially the youth. Boldness is coded in its nature. Before hanging for the land, Shaheed Bhagat Singh wrote a letter to the British. He said I should kill myself and my comrades. He said: “This is a proof of his incompetent courage. Shaheed Bhagat Singh was also very sensitive to the suffering of the people and was always ahead of help. I pay tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.” On the anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar, the prime minister appreciated his musical contribution. He said: “Lata is the birthday of Mangeshkar. No one who is interested in Indian culture and music can live without being overwhelmed by listening to his songs. His songs have all that the human sensations shock. On this occasion he also mentions the freedom fighter Savarkar, of whom Lata Mangeshkar is deeply inspired. Premier Modi said: “Lata Didi, among the great personalities inspired by Servarkar, is also one that she called ‘Tatya’. She scrapped many songs from Savarkar in her notes.” Prime Minister Modi, who remembers her relationship with Lata Mangeshkar, said: ‘The bond of affection with Lata Didi always continued. She sent a rakhi every year without talking. I remember, Marathi Easy Music’s big figure Sudhir Phadke first introduced me to the Lata Didi program.
