Telangana: CM Revanth Reddy's ancestor village operated with 100 percent solar energy

Hyderabad, September 27 (IANS). Telangana Chief Minister Ak Revanth Reddy’s ancestor village, Kondaredipalli, turned second and the first 100 percent of solar -powered town in South India. As a result of the Green Energy Mission of the Telangana government, Kondarendipalli made the distinction to become the first fully solar -printed town in South India. The project contains 514 houses and 11 government buildings under this project in the Wangur section of the Nagarurunul district. 480 houses are already running from a 3 kW roof panel, while schools and 11 government offices get electricity of 60 kW of solar units. According to an official statement, 34 houses with earthen walls will also be covered shortly after the Pucca houses are built under the Indiramma Awas Yojana. Now 360 units of electricity per month are generated in each home, ensuring continuous electricity and gets rid of monthly electricity bills. The Kondaradydipalli project not only makes self -sufficiency, but also makes the creation of income special. Additional energy network is given at the rate of Rs 5.25 per unit. In September alone, the town earned about 5 Lakh calls by selling one lakh units. The project that costs Rs 10.53 crore receives a subsidy of Rs 3.56 crore from the center, CSR funding of Rs 4.09 crore from Premiere Energy and Rs 2.59 crore for infrastructure. The project is implemented by community participation by Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (Tgredco). Villagers are proud to say that they have not only become self -sufficient, but also contribute clean energy to the Telangana timetable. This town, once a simple, has become an extraordinary example today. At the same time, the officer Kondaradydipalli calls an ideal solar village, which links modern technology to rural life.
