Bihar got 19 and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cabinet approved to open 57 new schools in the country

For the first time, Child Garden begins. It will benefit 86,640 students and 4617 employment. Patna: It has been approved to open new 57 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country, including 19 in Bihar. Now this school will also open in Bodh Gaya. With this, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the opening of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVs) across the country. The purpose of these schools is to meet the educational needs of the children of the central government’s employees, children of paramilitary powers. According to the government, the expenses of approximately 5862.55 crore calls will be made over nine years (2026-27) with the establishment of these schools. This includes Rs 2585.52 crore capital expenditure and Rs 3277.03 crore operating expenses. This Union Minister, Jeetan Ram Manjhi, and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaa, shared on their X handle and expressed happiness. This will be the first time this system is the specialty of the approval of this time that children (Eastern Primary Phase of three years) are also started in the new Kendriya Vidyalayas, so that the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 can be implemented. 1288 Kendriya Vidyalayas is managed across the country. Currently, 1288 Kendriya Vidyalayas is run across the country, three of whom are abroad (Moscow, Kathmandu and Tehran). Of these, approximately 13.62 Lakh students studied until 30 June 2025. This decision was made after approval of 85 new schools in December 2024. This will not only meet the great demand but will also have a balanced expansion in all parts of the country. Under the new approval, 7 schools are opened by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the remaining 50 schools are opened by the bail agencies of the states and trade union areas. These schools will cover 17 states/trade union areas. This includes. 20 schools in districts where no KV is present until now, 14 schools in aspiration districts, 4 schools in Naxale -influenced districts and 5 schools in the north -east and hill areas. Each school has a capacity of 1520 students with approximately 1520 students. Whereby a total of 86,640 students will gain direct benefit. On average, 81 posts are created in a KV. On this basis, approximately 4617 permanent jobs will be created. In addition, a large number of competent and unskilled workers will also find work as a result of the construction and development of facilities.
