Head of Army staff Upendra Dwivedi honored athletes at the World Championships for Athletics
New -delhi, October 4 (IANS). The World Para Athletics Championship 2025 is successfully held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New -Delhi. On Saturday, the country’s head of the army staff Upendra Dwivedi attended the event and submitted medals to outstanding athletes. Upendra Dwivedi also died with others, including other Para athletes from the Indian army who participated in the event and appreciated their dedication and achievements. The event was a wonderful moment for the country, celebrating the striking achievements of Para athletes in India, which inspires millions of people and makes the country proud of the global sports scene. The World Para Athletics Championships 2025 started on September 27 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New -Delhi. It concludes on October 5, 2025. This is the 12th edition of the World Para Athletics Championship. This is the largest paragraph competition ever held in India. More than 1,000 athletes around the world participate in 186 medal events. It has 101 opportunities for men and 84 women, a mixed competition. The number of events that were last is higher than the previous version held in Cobe, Japan. India won three more medals on Saturday. Ekta Bharani and Soman Rana won silver medals in the women’s club, respectively, F51 and Men’s ShotPut F57, while Praveen Kumar (men’s high jump T64) won bronze. Nimisha Chakkungangal Parambil set a new Asian record of 5.74 meters, but missed the medal due to fourth place in the Women’s Long Jump T47 event.
