Madurai Menakshi Amman Temple threatened to bombard, to search for three hours

Madurai, October 4 (IANS). The world -famous Madurai Menakshi Amman Temple in Tamil Nadu was raised after being threatened with a bomb. The DGP office was informed on Friday through ‘Ne -mail about the bomb in the temple, after which Madurai police performed intensive search operation in the temple site for three hours. However, no explosive material was found during the investigation and it was found that the threat was false. According to the information, this e -mail was received by the DGP office on Saturday morning, claiming that the bomb was planted in the Genakshi Amman Temple. Once the information was received, the Madurai City Police team, Bomb Disposal Squad and Snifer Dogs reached the place. Since the exam holidays are underway these days and also Pradosham today, a large number of dedications have reached the temple since the morning. Meanwhile, there was chaos due to a sudden threat of the bomb. The security forces immediately surrounded the temple site and started a search operation by removing the dedicated in safe places. The Bomb Disposal Squad investigated the entire complex, including the Sanctum Sanctorum of Amman and Swami (main gods), Golden Flag Pillar, Annadanam Hall and Theppakulam (Mandir Talab). In addition, the four Gopuram gates of the temple, cellphone deposits were made for dedicated, fruits and coconut stores, and shoes fluctuers were also carefully searched. No explosive material was restored after this intensive search that lasted about three hours, after which police confirmed that the bombing was false. However, because of vigilance, the Madurai City Police Commissioner issued instructions that all the policemen placed in the Menakshi Amman Temple should be very vigilant and sharpened the safety check.
