For the first time Japan will get women PM, seal the name of Sane Takichi

Tokyo, October 4 (IANS). Japan will meet a female prime minister for the first time. In fact, the process of prime minister’s election in Japan is underway, which was voted on Saturday. During this vote, former Japanese Minister of Economic Security Sane Takichi was elected to the leader of the country’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). After being elected LDP leader, she will now take oath on October 15. According to local media reports, none of the five candidates received a majority in the first period in the party leadership race. In the second round of the vote after this, Takaichi received 185 votes, while Koizumi received 156 votes. In the first round of the election, Takiyi took the lead with a total of 183 votes, with 64 party LPs and 119 general members support. According to the Japan Times report, Koizumi received 164 votes, with 80 party MPs and 84 general members supported him. LDP LPs began to vote for the new leader during the day, in which five candidates were involved in the race to become the new party and the next prime minister of the country. Apart from the Sane Takaichi, former LDP secretary Toshimitsu Motegi, chief cabinet secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi, the Minister of Agriculture, Shinjiro Koizumi and Takayuki Kobayashi, also contenders. These five candidates were also included in the past year’s election, in which the record nine candidates filed their claim. Let me tell you, a total of 590 votes were cast in the first round of the election that began after the resignation of the LDP, Shigeru Ishiba, last month, of which 295 were of LDP MPs and 295 votes were awarded to general members and registered supporters of the party. Slow speed of development, rising prices and rapid devaluation of Jen was an election issue. In addition, the double defeat of LDP brought its leadership under the lead of strict monitoring. As the ruling party loses its historical dominance, the way forward becomes equally difficult for it. LDP will have to ensure people in this difficult time that the preservation of a divided party is united, handles a minority regime and modern voters ensure that LDP can still form a stable government. – Ans Kanak/GKT
