This new Seven-Sitle SUV replaces the Tiguan Allspace in VW’s global serial sum The Volkswagen Tayron brings refined European scent to the three-row SUV space, and offers premium interiors and contains a sunny but refreshing cool morning in Munich. We are on our way to the car show, but what has already grabbed my attention is our ride for the day – the Volkswagen Tayron. This new Seven-Sitle SUV replaces the Tiguan Allspace in the global series of VW, and it aims high. The big question is: Can it adopt the Toyota Fortuner? While the Tayron is moving to the hotel, the agreement with the Tiguan R-Line is immediately visible. Smart LED head lamps are connected to a striking light bar, which sits above a large grille, finished in a sharp mesh pattern. The 20-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 255/40 profile tires, give it a strong attitude. Design -wise, the Tayron is clean and modern, with a distinctive shoulder line flaring over the rear bows. The roof gently slides down to a rear spoiler, while the back contains an Edgy LED rear lamp that is also linked to a light bar. The appearance of the VW logo and the black cladding of the gauze style dismiss the appearance. If the outside is neat and underestimated, the inside is where the Tayron really shines. The cabin feels soft and premium, an important step from the Tiguan. Look at the full image the interior The dashboard is designed as one panel, with a digital instrument group on the driver’s side and a smooth piano black section with subtle tonal graphics on the passenger side. Dividing the two is a sharp 12.6-inch infotainment touch screen-sharp, intuitive and responding. Materials feel top. The upper line has soft touch with elegant double stitch, while the R-line finish adds suede inserts. The lighting of the environment is beautifully integrated, which even relieves the volume control button on the middle console, which is stylish. A large panoramic sunroof contributes to the feeling of space, and the seats are spacious and very comfortable. Features for features are likely to include Level 2 ADAs, a Harman Cardon sound system and Alcantara upholstery. In general, the cabin leagues feel before the Tiguan all space that will replace it. That said, there are some surprises. The Tayron we drove in Germany had with manual seat adjustments and no seating in the seat, not even in the top Spec R-Line variant-a strange omission at this expected price point. These are functions that VW will do well to localize for the Indian market. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the Tayron is 231 mm longer than the Tiguan, and the added length leads to a much more spacious second row. The middle row of seats is spacious and comfortable, making this SUV a solid family guides. As for the third row, it is more a sign gesture than a real lounge for adults. Although access is easy, the seats are low and the legroom is strict – even for someone who is 5ft 3 inches. They are best suited for children on short drivers. Boat space is properly at 345 liters with all rows, and extends to about 850 liters with the third row of folded apartment. Under the bonnet, India is expected to get the well-known 2.0-liter TSI turbo petrol engine, which delivers 204 hp. This engine, shared with the Škoda Kodiaq, is known for its refinement and smooth power output. On the roads of Munich it felt strong and linear – ideal for quick catch -up and through city traffic. Ride Quality leans to the firmer side, possibly due to the 20-inch wheels, but VW usually has suspended suspensions for Indian roads, so we can expect a more compliant setup when the Tayron arrives here. The Volkswagen Tayron brings a refined European scent to the three-row SUV space, which offers excellent interiors, a smooth drivetrain and premium features. Where it can struggle against the Toyota Fortuner, it is in pure rough and brands in India’s SUV-loving market-even the Jeep, especially for those who look at off-road capacity and high resale value. It will also go up against the Jeep Meridian and the Citroen C 5 Aircross. For urban families looking for a sophisticated and functional alternative, the Tayron can be very well a compelling challenger. Provided VW gets the price and function mixture right, the Tayron can not only adopt the Fortuner – it can give buyers a whole new reason to look further.
