Digital explosion of RBI and NPCI: Scanning is scanned by eyes.

Digital payments in the country, or rather, transactions change daily. The government and its institutions offer new facilities to benefit general users and to ensure safe payment and transactions. Now, in India, payment can be made using UPI Light feature by bearable smartglasses. Users will just have to scan a QR code and give a voice assignment. The special thing is that another cellphone or any PIN is needed for this. Let’s tell us about the nuances of this facility declared by the government. The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) needs no mobile or PIN, but said that the Weevable Smartglasses can be paid with UPI Light Facility. According to the organization, another cellphone or PIN number is needed for this facility. Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Deputy Governor T. Rabi Shankar announced the launch of this new digital payment facility at Global Fintech Fest 2025. The UPI light was specifically developed for small value, repetitive payments, with minimal dependence on the mainstream banking system. NPCI released a video stating that the payment of UPI lights on Smart Glass is just as comfortable as “watch, talk and pay”. This feature is aimed at daily payments such as retail, food and transport and makes digital payments more convenient and more comfortable. The NPCI said this initiative is the first expansion of UPI in the carrying environment and that it is considered an important step towards ‘uninterrupted, spontaneous payment’. Reducing the pressure on the core banking system will also benefit the banks and payment service providers, as non-CBS wallet transactions will reduce the pressure on the core banking system. The NPCI said that UPI light payment by a weekly Smartglass would be an important initiative to establish India as a leader in the field of Innovation for Digital Payment. NPCI, which operates retail and off-road systems in the country, also owns UPI. Users will get the benefit of these benefits: Biometric PIN repair -If someone forgets its UPI -Pen, it can now only be reserved by fingerprint or facial certification. Fingerprint payment – Instead of inserting PIN code while paying UPI, you can authorize the payment using fingerprint or facial scan. This will make the payment even easier. This will eliminate the problem of forgetting the map or OTP. Those who do not have a card will also be able to use UPI easily. Share this story -tags
