The agency attacked the House of Sandeep Kumar Sinha Alias ​​Chhotu Lala in the Vaishali district and recovered several weapons and suspicious material. The action was taken as part of the investigation into a case registered in 2024, which relates to the smuggling of illegal arms from Nagaland to Bihar. The attack was seized in 9 mm pistol, 18 Cartridges, two magazines, a double barrel with 12 drill pits, 35 12 drilling patterns and Rs 4.21 Lakh. Sandeep Kumar is a close employee of the chief accused Vikas Kumar and is considered an active member of this smuggling network. The case was registered by Bihar police when AK-47 rifles and ammunition were recovered. In August 2024, Nia took over the investigation. During the investigation, NIA arrested four accused Vikas Kumar, Satyam Kumar, Devmani Rai alias Anish and Mohammad Ahmed Ansari and filed a charge sheet against them. Recently, Manzoor Khan was also arrested, which is now being submitted in the turn of Patna. After the arrest of Sandeep, his interrogation is underway so that other members of the smuggling racket can be detected. A NIA official said this network is a serious threat to the country’s safety.
